THE GREATEST QUESTION EVER ASKED IS
"WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED" |
The concerns felt by a jailer in ancient Philippi
when he first asked this question nearly 2,000 years ago
(Acts 16:25-30), are the same concerns we feel today.
Where can I find the help I need? Is there any
relief from my sense of failure, guilt and shame? Is there love,
acceptance, and forgiveness for someone like me? Can I get myself
together? In short, be saved.

The Simplest Answer Ever Given Is... |
"Everyone who calls
upon the name of the Lord will be saved" (Rom.
10:13). These twelve words explain how anyone can find the
help he or she needs, experience relief from the sense of failure,
guilt and shame, get themselves together, that is, find love,
acceptance, and forgiveness. In
short, be saved! Now - -

"Everyone" Means You ! |
This verse says if you will call on the name of
the Lord you will be saved. But - -
What does it mean "to call on
the name of the Lord"? |
When you call on anyone
for anything you always do three things. |
First -- You realize a need. |
You don't buy new clothing everyday do you? You
don't go to the doctor everyday do you? Decisions of this nature
are based on a sense of need.
Likewise you won't call on the name of the
Lord unless you have a spiritual need. That is, along with everyone
else who has ever lived, you, too, have sinned and need a Savior
(Rom. 3:23).
You realize that, don't
you? |
